  • Pandemic Flu - Originally aired by NOVA's ScienceNow in November of 2006, this video does a great job of explaining what pandemic flu is and how it could start and spread. 12min 52secs. Also available on this site is a transcript of the program as well as a 9 page teacher's guide.

  • The News Hour with Jim Lehrer - Here is an interview with the White House Advisor Francis Townsend from May 3, 2006. It focuses on the steps that the government has taken to prepare for a pandemic and what sort of activities would be taken if a pandemic were to happen.
